Yard Sale Date Set

The annual Eno Trace yard sale will take place on Saturday May 2nd from 8 a.m. until 12 noon. We coordinated with Vantage Point this year to hold each community’s sale on the same day and will advertise as such in The Herald-Sun, News and Observer, and on Craigslist.org. Hope we have a big turn out from shoppers and homeowners!

Monthly Meeting Change

The HOA Board meeting has been changed to the 2nd Thursday of each month on a trial basis for April, May and June. The reason for the change is to allow board members to attend the PAC 2 meetings that are held on the 2nd Monday of each month.

DPD 2009 Block Captains Workshop

Registration has begun for the Durham Police Department’s 2009 Block Captains Workshop from 8:30 AM to 1 PM on Saturday February 21st. The event is coordinated by the Crime Prevention and Victim Services Units. It will be held at the Durham County Library (the main library) 300 N. Roxboro St.

You must register to attend this event, and due to limited capacity the first 100 registrants will be confirmed on a first come first serve basis. You can register by calling Ira Wilkins at 919-560-4317 ext. 240. Or if you wish you may email her at Ira.Wilkins @ durhamnc.gov. Request confirmation of
your registration. This workshop is for all districts of Durham and is sure to fill up quickly so if you are interested do not delay. The
registration deadline is February 6th.

Topics to be discussed include the following: Chiefs’ message, block captain 411, gang awareness, drug awareness, Durham 911 information, crime stoppers, animal control, and investigations.

Per my conversation with Crime Prevention Officer Hall there will be representatives from various departments in attendance to do presentations concerning the above mentioned topics and some refreshments will be served. It will also be a great way to meet neighborhood watch leaders from other communities and exchange useful bits of information.
